Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy
BPC staff are culturally competent and trained to address the complex issues and trauma associated with many specialty populations in their treatment including Veterans, Justice-Involved Clients, LGBTQ, and Youth/Adolescents. With a clinical team of over 50 clinicians, we pride ourselves on providing a traditional psychotherapeutic model through a 45 minute session where all patients feel heard and valued. Our clinicians bring a wide range of skills that include CBT, patient centered approaches, psychodynamic approaches, Family Systems tools, and DBT skills. Our clinicians speak a variety of different languages and ensure that cultural competence is used with each patient we treat. Individual, family, marital, and group therapy is offered and is coordinated with psychiatry or outside supportive and / or medical services if necessary.
Psychiatry
Psychiatry
Our Psychiatrist and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners bring their expertise in psychopharmacology to our organization and work with many of our patients to enhance the positive impact of our psychotherapy services. Both children and adults are able to receive medication management through an informed and coordinated decision made with the patient, the treating clinician, as well as any necessary family members or referral sources.
BPC Psychiatric Prescribing Position
BPC follows industry best practices when prescribing medications with an increased likelihood of abuse or dependence. If prescribed at all, these medications are primarily prescribed on a short-term basis to manage acute symptoms of a severe or disabling nature. Safe, effective, and responsible practice is our primary goal. This is best achieved with evidence-based psychological interventions in conjunction with pharmacological treatments suitable for long-term use.
Youth IOP
Youth IOP
Youth Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Program
IOP is designed to help youth experiencing the most serious mental health challenges while remaining in their family environment—rather than at a residential treatment facility or hospital setting. It is designed for youth ages 12-17, who need a higher level of care than once-a-week sessions. Youth attend the program two to three days a week for eight weeks. Hours of services are tailored around the family availability. Our skilled and compassionate team works with young people and their families to keep youth at risk of residential and/or psychiatric treatment safely at home with the support they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. For context, the IOP program sits within OMH’s oversight.
