Bleuler Psychotherapy Center, a leading nonprofit mental health clinic in Queens, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support our clients and prescribers across our outpatient mental health and substance use programs.
This is not a hospital or medical clinic position — it’s a unique opportunity to apply your nursing skills in a community-based behavioral health setting, working with adults and children with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct client health assessments and wellness checks
- Administer medications and injections (e.g., vaccines, vitamin B12, MAT)
- Provide client education, including smoking cessation and health literacy
- Collaborate with prescribers and assist with medication management and reconciliation
- Complete and update treatment plans for medication-only clients every 180 days
- Pull I-STOP reports and assist with prior authorization requests
- Document vitals, labs, procedures, and interactions in the EHR
- Help coordinate appointment reminders and follow-up for no-shows
- Monitor supply levels and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked
- Support clinic screenings and health initiatives
- Provide Spanish interpretation during provider sessions, when needed
- Float between Forest Hills and Jackson Heights sites as needed
- Assist with failed claims in collaboration with the billing team
What You Bring
- Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- 3+ years of clinical experience working with behavioral health or dual-diagnosis clients
- BCLS (CPR) certification (required)
- Enrolled as a provider with NYC Medicaid and Medicare (required)
- Strong knowledge of mental illness across the lifespan
- Skilled in EHR documentation and comfortable with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OMH regulations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required for this role)
