At Bleuler Psychotherapy Center, we understand that substance use recovery is not one-size-fits-all. That’s why we provide outpatient substance use treatment designed to fit into your daily life while still offering comprehensive and compassionate care. Whether you’re working through challenges with alcohol, opioids, stimulants, or behavioral issues like gambling, our outpatient model supports healing while you remain rooted in your home, work, and community responsibilities.
Our services include Substance Use Counseling, Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment (where clinically appropriate), Psychiatric Services, Group Counseling, and Telehealth Therapy. We provide flexible scheduling and evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are. You don’t have to figure this out alone. Our licensed clinicians collaborate closely with you to build a treatment plan that reflects your values, needs, and goals.
When you begin outpatient care with Bleuler, our first step is a thorough intake and clinical assessment. This includes exploring your history with substance use, your current mental and physical health, environmental stressors, and personal strengths. We want to understand not just what’s happening, but how we can help in a way that feels relevant and doable for your life.
Substance Use Counseling is the foundation of your care. Through consistent, one-on-one sessions, you’ll work with a therapist trained in addiction and recovery who uses evidence-based modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Our work doesn’t just aim for abstinence; it seeks to uncover the emotional roots and thought patterns that fuel substance use so that healing is not just possible, but sustainable.
Group Counseling is also available and often recommended as a complement to individual therapy. In these sessions, clients share experiences, learn from others, and practice new skills in a supportive environment. Common topics include emotional regulation, relapse prevention, communication, and life rebuilding strategies. These aren’t lectures, they’re interactive, connection-driven spaces where growth can happen.
When needed, we integrate Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment into your care plan. Our psychiatric providers evaluate whether medications can help manage cravings or withdrawal symptoms, and if so, they prescribe and monitor treatment in close coordination with your therapy. This approach is always grounded in safety, relevance, and alignment with your larger recovery goals.
We also offer comprehensive Psychiatric Services for individuals with co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma responses, or bipolar disorder. Our board-certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners provide medication management, evaluations, and collaborative care that keeps your mental health fully supported.
If you require added flexibility, our HIPAA-compliant Telehealth Therapy services allow you to attend appointments from your home, office, or any private setting. These secure virtual sessions mirror the same quality and connection of our in-person services, ensuring continuity of care without sacrificing accessibility.
For those also dealing with gambling-related struggles, we offer Gambling Treatment integrated into your outpatient care. Using evidence-based therapy, our clinicians work with you to understand and manage gambling behaviors while helping you build healthier coping mechanisms and habits. This care reflects the full scope of your experience, never just one piece.
We recognize that adolescence is a time of rapid change, emotional complexity, and growing pressure, and our IOP is crafted to address those realities while allowing teens to remain at home, in school, and connected to their daily lives. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, school refusal, or emerging substance use issues, our IOP provides a developmentally attuned pathway toward healing.
The journey begins with a no-pressure phone consultation with one of our knowledgeable intake coordinators. This first step allows you to voice your concerns, ask questions, and begin understanding whether the IOP is a good clinical fit for your teen’s needs. If the program seems appropriate, we schedule a comprehensive intake assessment with a licensed mental health professional. This process includes one-on-one interviews with your teen and caregiver(s), a review of academic performance and emotional history, and time spent learning about your family’s values, communication style, and cultural background. Our goal is to ensure your child’s care is not only effective but deeply respectful and personalized.
Based on that assessment, we develop an individualized treatment plan built around your teen’s goals, challenges, and schedule. This plan may include weekly individual therapy, daily Group Counseling sessions, family therapy, and structured clinician check-ins. Teens struggling with substance use are offered dedicated Substance Use Counseling, and, where clinically appropriate, Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment may be added for symptom stabilization. Psychiatric Services are available for teens who need support with co-occurring mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, or mood disorders.
We know families are central to the healing process. Throughout treatment, parents and guardians receive regular updates, guidance from clinicians, and access to family therapy to help repair communication and rebuild trust. With proper consent, we also coordinate with schools to support academic progress and make sure that treatment aligns with educational responsibilities and milestones. From the first session to the last, we’re committed to making your teen’s care feel relevant, accessible, and sustainable.
As your teen approaches discharge from the IOP, we co-create a detailed aftercare plan that fits their evolving needs. This plan may include continued outpatient therapy, peer support groups, psychiatric follow-up, or periodic check-ins with our team during transitional periods. Our intention is not only to support symptom reduction but to lay the groundwork for long-term resilience and well-being. At Bleuler, we view adolescent healing as a family journey, and we walk it alongside you every step of the way.
Therapy should be available where you are, not just geographically, but emotionally and practically. At Bleuler, we recognize that life’s responsibilities don’t always make it easy to attend weekly in-person therapy sessions. Whether you’re juggling demanding work hours, managing childcare, navigating transportation difficulties, or dealing with chronic illness or mobility concerns, these barriers shouldn’t keep you from accessing the support you need. That’s why we offer secure, high-quality Telehealth Therapy that meets you in your own space, without compromising clinical depth or personal connection.
Our Telehealth Therapy program brings our licensed clinicians, evidence-based treatment methods, and supportive community directly to your device. You’ll meet with your therapist through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that protects your privacy and fosters the same level of therapeutic engagement you’d find in person. From individual sessions to Group Counseling and even some forms of family therapy, our telehealth services allow you to fully participate in care from your home, office, or any private setting that works for you.
This is not a lesser version of therapy; it’s the same commitment to compassionate, person-centered support, delivered in a more flexible format. Many clients find telehealth ideal during periods of transition, travel, or illness, while others use it as their primary mode of care due to its convenience and accessibility. Telehealth also increases continuity when you’re dealing with life disruptions or unpredictable schedules. You don’t have to choose between maintaining therapy and managing daily responsibilities; you can have both.
Telehealth Therapy at Bleuler integrates seamlessly with other aspects of our outpatient services. Clients engaged in Substance Use Counseling, Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment, or Psychiatric Services may attend many of these appointments virtually, maintaining consistent care across all areas of their treatment plan. If you’re participating in Gambling Treatment or working through co-occurring mental health conditions, telehealth provides the structure and accountability to continue progress at your own pace.
We know healing doesn’t always happen on a therapist’s couch. Sometimes, it begins on your living room couch, in the middle of a busy day, when you finally make space for yourself. That’s the power of Telehealth Therapy, not just convenience, but access without compromise. At Bleuler, we’re proud to offer that level of care, wherever you are.
You don’t have to wait for rock bottom to get help. The sooner you reach out, the sooner you can reclaim your life. Recovery is possible—and it starts with one step. Let’s take it together.
At Bleuler Psychotherapy Center, we offer outpatient substance use treatment—a flexible, evidence-based approach that supports clients while they continue living at home. Our services include Substance Use Counseling, Group Counseling, and, where appropriate, Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment. These sessions are led by licensed therapists who specialize in helping individuals understand their relationship with substances, explore triggers, and build lasting coping skills. We also address co-occurring concerns such as trauma, anxiety, and depression through integrated Psychiatric Services and one-on-one therapy. There is no requirement to enter a facility or pause your daily life—we meet you where you are and help you move forward with support that fits into your routine.
Yes—when clinically indicated, we offer Medication-Assisted Substance Use Treatment (MAT) as part of our outpatient care. MAT can be especially helpful for clients managing cravings or withdrawal symptoms while engaging in therapy. Our psychiatric providers conduct thorough evaluations to determine if FDA-approved medications are appropriate. Any medications prescribed are closely monitored in collaboration with your therapist, and always used in conjunction with Substance Use Counseling, not as a standalone solution. MAT is one of several tools we offer to help you regain stability and build long-term recovery.
Yes—our clinicians specialize in treating co-occurring conditions, meaning we support both substance use and mental health challenges at the same time. Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, or relationship stress alongside substance use, we build a treatment plan that addresses the whole picture. You may engage in individual therapy, Group Counseling, and access our Psychiatric Services for medication management when needed. Because all services are provided under one roof, care is coordinated and personalized. We work with you to understand how substance use and emotional distress may interact, and help you create meaningful change in both areas.
Our Telehealth Therapy option allows you to receive ongoing substance use treatment from the privacy of your home. These secure, HIPAA-compliant sessions are led by the same licensed therapists and psychiatrists you would see in person. Whether you’re receiving Substance Use Counseling, checking in with a psychiatrist, or attending Group Counseling, the virtual format ensures continuity of care when in-person visits aren’t possible. Telehealth is ideal for those balancing work, caregiving, or health concerns that limit travel—and it keeps you connected to care that’s consistent, compassionate, and effective.
We recognize that substance use can be intertwined with other behavioral concerns, particularly problem gambling. That’s why we offer Gambling Treatment as part of our outpatient services. If gambling has become a way to cope with stress, trauma, or emotional pain, our clinicians are trained to help you explore the root causes and develop healthier patterns. Your treatment plan may include individual therapy, Group Counseling, and support from our psychiatric team, depending on your needs. At Bleuler, we address the full scope of your experience—not just one part of it—so healing is both integrated and lasting.
